Alertly is built to help you keep your own systems healthy. To keep the Service safe and reliable for everyone, you agree not to use it in the ways below. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.
Only monitor what you're allowed to
- Install the agent only on servers you own or manage with permission.
- Point uptime checks, port checks and SSL checks only at websites and services you own, operate, or have permission to monitor.
Don't use Alertly to harm others
You may not use the Service to:
- attack, overload, flood or stress-test systems, or set up checks designed to cause a denial of service;
- scan networks or probe for vulnerabilities on systems you don't own;
- reach private or internal networks of others, or try to bypass our protections against this;
- send spam or unwanted messages through webhooks, chat channels, status page subscriptions or email;
- host or link to malware, phishing or illegal content on status pages or in incident updates;
- impersonate another person, company or brand, for example with a misleading status page or custom domain.
Don't misuse the Service itself
- Don't try to access other teams' data, or to get around plan limits, rate limits or security controls.
- Don't reverse engineer, scrape or copy the Service, except the open-source agent under its licence.
- Don't resell the Service or share one account between unrelated organisations without our written agreement.
- Don't send data through the agent API that is unrelated to monitoring, or send it at abusive rates.
- Don't use the AI features to produce harmful, illegal or deceptive content.
Content you publish
You are responsible for what you publish on public status pages and in incident updates. Don't publish other people's personal data, secrets or anything you don't have the right to share.
Reporting abuse
If you believe someone is using Alertly to harm you or others, email [email protected] with as much detail as you can. We take reports seriously.
What happens if this policy is broken
We may pause monitors, disable checks, remove content, or suspend accounts that break this policy, and where reasonable we will tell you first so you can fix the problem. Serious or repeated abuse can lead to account closure without refund.
