This page explains the cookies and similar storage that Alertly uses. The short version: we only use what's needed for the site to work. We don't use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking or third-party analytics, so we don't ask you to accept a cookie banner.
Cookies we use
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Keeps you signed in while you use the app and remembers short messages such as "Saved". | Until you close the browser, or a couple of hours of inactivity |
XSRF-TOKEN |
Protects forms against cross-site request forgery. | Same as the session |
| "Remember me" cookie | Keeps you signed in on this device if you tick "Remember me" when logging in. | Until you sign out |
All of these are strictly necessary. They are set only by alertly.net, and they are not used to track you across other websites.
Local storage
Your browser also remembers a few display preferences on your device, such as light or dark mode. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Payments
When you open the checkout, our payment provider and Merchant of Record, Paddle, may set its own cookies to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. These are covered by Paddle's Cookie Policy.
Public status pages
Public status pages, including those on a custom domain, use only the strictly necessary session and XSRF-TOKEN cookies, which protect the "subscribe to updates" form. They don't track visitors.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the session cookie, you won't be able to sign in.
