Plans and billing

Each team has its own plan. The team owner chooses it, pays for it and downloads invoices. Other members never see payment details.

Free trial

New accounts get 14 days of our most popular paid plan for free on their personal team. You don't need to add a card. Teams you create later start on the free plan.

Three days before the trial ends, the owner gets a reminder email, and another when it has ended. To keep the plan, choose Keep … on that plan on the Billing page. If you don't subscribe, the team moves to the free plan. Nothing is deleted, but you can't add more than the free plan allows.

Plans and limits

Plans differ in how many servers, monitors, heartbeats, status pages and team members you can have, and how many days of history are kept. See pricing for the current plans.

When you reach a limit, Alertly.Net tells you which one when you try to add more. Existing servers keep working. Pending invitations count toward your team member limit.

Subscribe

  1. As the team owner, open Billing in the sidebar. It always shows the team selected in the team switcher, so switch teams first if needed.
  2. Choose Monthly or Yearly. The Yearly switch shows how much you can save.
  3. Choose Subscribe on a plan, enter your details in the secure checkout and pay by card, PayPal or another local method. For custom plans, choose Contact us.

Your new limits apply within a few seconds of payment.

Payments are handled by Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record. Paddle calculates and collects sales tax or VAT for your country. Add your company's VAT number at checkout to have it on your invoices. Alertly.Net never sees or stores your card details.

Change plan

On the Billing page, choose Switch to … on another plan or billing interval. Your new limits apply immediately. Paddle works out the difference for the rest of the current billing period and adds it to, or takes it off, your next invoice. To move to the free plan, cancel your subscription.

Cancel

Choose Cancel subscription. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, then the team moves to the free plan. Changed your mind before then? Choose Resume subscription.

Invoices

Every payment produces an invoice. The Billing page lists the 24 most recent, each with a PDF link once Paddle has issued its invoice number. The owner also gets an email receipt with a link to the invoice after each payment.

Payment method and failed payments

Choose Payment method to change the card used for renewals. If a renewal payment fails, Paddle retries it over the next few days and the owner is emailed with a link to fix it. Your plan keeps working while the payment is retried. If it ultimately fails, the subscription ends and the team moves to the free plan.

Questions

Billing questions, refunds and VAT corrections are handled together with Paddle. Reply to any receipt email, or contact us and we'll sort it out.
