Everything in Alertly.Net (servers, monitors, alerts, channels and status pages) belongs to a team. Invite colleagues to share the work, and give each of them only the access they need.
Your teams
When you sign up, you get a personal team. You can create more teams, for example one per client or per company, and switch between them with the team switcher at the top of the sidebar. Teams are completely separate: members of one team can't see anything in another.
Each team has its own plan and limits.

Choose Viewer for people who only need to look, like support staff or a client. The one-click acknowledge link in alert notifications works for anyone who receives it, without signing in.
Invite someone
Owners and admins open Team settings → Invite someone, enter an email address and choose a role (Admin, Member or Viewer). The person gets an email with a link that's valid for 7 days. They sign up or sign in with that address, then accept. Pending invitations count toward your plan's member limit and can be cancelled any time. If a link expires, cancel the invitation and send a new one.
Change or remove members
In the members list, owners and admins can change anyone's role except the owner's and their own, and remove members. Removed members lose access immediately, and any API tokens they created for the team stop working.
If an account is suspended, it stays in the members list but can't sign in, its API tokens stop working, and it's skipped in the on-call rotation.
To leave a team yourself, use Leave team in its settings. Owners can't leave their own team. They can delete it instead, except for their personal team. To hand a team over to someone else, contact us. The new owner must already be a member, and the previous owner becomes an admin.
Activity log
Owners and admins can see who did what in the team (adding servers, changing rules, acknowledging alerts, inviting people, changing plans and more) in the Recent activity section of the team settings. Choose View all activity for the full history, which you can filter by area. Changes made by our support team while helping you are marked via Alertly support. Actions taken through the API aren't recorded.
Entries are kept for 90 days. Sensitive values like webhook URLs, tokens and note text are never recorded.
Reports
Owners and admins can turn on a weekly email report (every Monday morning, to owners and admins) or a daily summary posted each morning to your channels (escalation channels are skipped) in the team settings. Both give an overview of alerts and uptime.
Your account and data
To get a copy of your data, open Profile and choose Download my data. You get a JSON file with your account, team memberships, notes, and the setup of the teams you own. Deleting your account deletes the teams you own and everything in them, so download your data first.
